You can safely remove eSIMs from your device when:
- There is no longer an active data package for the eSIM:
When you buy an eSIM from Smissey, it always comes with a data package ready to be activated. If the term period has not yet expired and there is still data on your eSIM, do not remove the eSIM from the device. You can use your eSIM until you run out of data.
- You no longer need your eSIM:
Some Smissey eSIMs can only be used once and cannot be upgraded. You can remove these eSIMs after use.
If you have an eSIM that you no longer want to use, you can also safely delete it.
- Your new eSIM for the same country/region is:
When you buy an eSIM in the store , you will receive a new eSIM every time. The new eSIM must always be installed. It's always best to start installing with a clean slate to avoid confusion about which eSIM is active. So remove your old eSIM.
To remove your eSIMs from the device, navigate to your device's mobile settings, click on the eSIM you want to remove and select "Remove mobile data plan". Depending on the device, it could also be "Remove eSIM", "Remove mobile subscription" or something similar.
