How do I change my APN settings?

APN is the 'Access Point Name' of your device and you may need to adjust your device's APN settings to access data with certain Smissey eSIMs.

If the APN settings are required for your eSIM, you can find the APN details in the eSIM email and on the website.

Follow these steps to set up an APN:


On iOS:

1. Go to Settings on your device.
2. Click on "Mobile Network".
3. Select your eSIM under SIM cards.
4. Click on "Mobile data network".


5. Type the new APN settings in the APN field as written in the email where you find your eSIM (all lower case, all one word)

*globaldata is an example. Please note that different eSIMs may require different types of APN. You can find the APN of your eSIM in the email with your eSIM and on the product pages on the website. If the APN is not available, it means that the eSIM's APN is being configured automatically.

5. You can leave the other fields empty

On Android:

1. Go to Settings on your device.
2. Click on "Connections".
3. Click on "Mobile Networks".
4. Click on "Access Point Names".


5. Click on your eSIM and then on "Add"
6. Click on "APN"
7. Enter the new APN settings as described in your email with the QR code and on the product page on our website. (all lower case, all one word)

*globaldata is an example. The correct APN settings will be shared with you in the email with the QR code and can be found on the product page on our website.

8. You can leave the other fields empty
